Welcome to Little League Baseball Ontario

This site hosts information regarding Little League Ontario and its Provincial Tournaments (rules, dates, schedules, etc.). For information on specific Districts or Leagues in Ontario, follow the links found on this site's Links page. That's where one would look to find to house league and other weekend tournaments, as this site is just for the Provincials.

For information on Little League programs, rule changes, etc., please visit Little League Canada or Little League International.

D1 Major Final was won by Ancaster over High Park. As Ancaster is the Canadians host
they cannot attend the Provincials (it's a rule!), so Provincials will be a 7-team tournament.

A WORD ABOUT PROVINCIAL TOURNAMENT DATES

The number one question I get these days is "What are the dates of the Provincial Tournaments?". I am getting tired of repeating myself, so I'm going to sum it up right here:

  • Tournament END dates ARE known because they are three days (Finals plus two rain/rest days) before the travel day to the Canadians, and those have been confirmed. They are shown on the table below.
  • Tournament START dates ARE NOT known, until we know how many teams will be playing in each, and what format they are using.
  • These are the steps we have to follow in order to get the final Tournament dates:
    • On May 21st we should know which Districts are attending which Minor thru Senior Tournaments, and for Big League the date is June 7th. Until then we do not know how many teams are playing in each, and therefore we do not know the format of each tournament nor how many days each will take to play.
    • On May 28th (Minor thru Senior) and June 14th, schedules will be submitted for approval. For Minor thru Senior, there will be two versions, one with a Host team, and one without. Until then we do not know how many rain days are being built into the schedule by the host, for the format being used.
    • Finally, the Minor thru Senior tournaments have the option of having a host team if the host league is not the district champ. This changes the number of teams by one, and is only known at the end of the host league's Districts, which is not until some time in July.
  • So, you now know as much as I do. I can promise you that I will keep this page, and the table below, updated with the best available information, as per the dates listed above.
  • Bottom line: Look at the end date. The start date is going to be about a week before that, give or take a day or two, depending on all those things I mentioned above.
